Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Lead Therapist to oversee site therapy staff scheduling, productivity tracking, and compliance. The role includes mentoring clinical staff and assisting the CTO with department duties while also providing direct patient care 50 to 75% of the time.

You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, document progress, and ensure quality care aligned with department goals.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Therapist.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (online not acceptable).
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical/patient care experience.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Lead Therapist is responsible for site therapy staff scheduling, tracking and meeting department productivity, documentation requirements, regulatory/compliance requirement and validating therapist staff competency. The Lead Therapist functions as a mentor for clinical skills and assists the CTO in therapy department/administrative responsibilities and other related duties as assigned or requested. The Lead Therapist also fills the role of Staff Therapist and therefore is responsible for completing evaluations, developing written treatment plans and providing on-going treatments that are designed to improve the patient’s functional status in conjunction with the overall treatment objectives. The Team lead will provide direct patient care 50 to 75% of the time which can and will fluctuate based on the needs of the department.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical/patient care experience required

Desired Experience:

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience required
• Previous supervisory experience
