Job summary

Bradford Health Services in Warrior, AL seeks a Lead Therapist to provide clinical leadership at our Warrior campus. You will support and supervise counselors, ensure high-quality care, and advance program outcomes with evidence-based practices.

The role requires a Master’s in Behavioral Sciences, LCSW or LPC, and a track record in addictions treatment and supervision. We offer a supportive, structured workplace with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences is required.
  • Licensed as LCSW or LPC.
  • Minimum two years in addictions treatment.
  • At least one year in a supervisor role.
  • Experience with diverse populations or special populations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with the public.
  • If in recovery, three years of continuous sobriety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical services operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and elevate team performance.
  • Perform Performance Improvement Activities.
  • Fulfill Counselor II or Clinical Coordinator duties when needed.
  • Lead staff meetings and clinical supervision.
  • Provide training and orientation to new counselors.
  • Model interdisciplinary teamwork and guide the team.
  • Integrate treatment philosophies in supervision and program practice.
  • Complete annual performance reviews and competency ratings.
  • Supervise and direct Counselor Assistants and PSAs.

Whether through counseling, peer support, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), residential, PHP, IOP, or extended care programs, we offer a holistic approach to healing that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit.

We are seeking a Lead Therapist to add to our dynamic team who can provide clinical support to our clients at our campus in Warrior, AL. Our campus provides a supportive, empathetic, and structured environment where individuals can safely address the root causes of their addiction and rediscover their true selves.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing oversight of the day-to-day operations of the facility's clinical services
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes and elevate team excellence facility-wide
  • Perform Performance Improvement Activities
  • Perform Counselor II and/or Clinical Coordinator"s duties, when necessary
  • Conduct documented staff meetings and clinical supervision
  • Provide training and orientation to new counselors
  • Model interdisciplinary teamwork and guide the team in its practice
  • Integrate the philosophies and principles of treatment both the program and the process of supervision
  • Complete annual performance reviews and competency ratings, which address clinical strengths, opportunities for improvement, and performance goals in a timely manner
  • Supervise and Direct Counselor Assistants and PSAs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences
  • LCSW or LPC licensure
  • Minimum of two years experience in addictions treatment
  • Minimum of one year in the field in a supervisor position
  • Previous training and/or experience to demonstrate competency with a special population (e.g., Adult or Emerging Adult or Adolescent)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) skills required
  • Comfortable working with the public
  • If recovering, three years of continuous verifiable sobriety
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with group therapy and family therapy modalities
  • Specialized training or certification in anger management or life transitions counseling
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Experience in a healthcare or community mental health setting
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with culturally diverse populations
