Qualifications

• BSc in Radiotherapy or equivalent qualification
• State registration with Health & Care Professions Council
• Evidence of continuing professional development through postgraduate training
• Willing to undertake further education relevant to post
• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of radiographers within their designated clinical area, ensuring high standards of practice and patient care.
• Be accountable for the safe and accurate delivery of radiotherapy treatments within their clinical area.
• Deliver and support complex radiotherapy procedures including localisation, image guidance, dose calculation and treatment verification.
• Practice autonomously and professionally in line with departmental protocols and national guidance.
• Ensure workload targets, quality standards and service objectives are achieved through effective resource use.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and implementation of new techniques.
• Support education, supervision and development of staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care and support to patients and carers.
