Job Description

AECOM is seeking a full-time Lead Texas CEI Sr. Project Manager to be based in Fort Worth, TX.

Job Responsibilities :
  1. Growing the Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Market in Texas as Senior PM, developing work and performing PM duties as needed.
  2. Target Clients are TxDOT, Toll Road Authorities & RMAs, including other governmental agencies and private work. Texas CEI includes Construction, Engineering & Inspection (CEI), Construction Scheduling Support (CSS), Owner Verification Testing Inspection (OVTI), Independent Engineer (IE), CPM Scheduling, and similar transportation functions. TxDOT Market Areas for these hires include but are not limited to DAL, PAR, TYL, FTW, WFS, ATL.
Marketing :
  1. Develop a detailed CEI business development plan with scalable milestones.
  2. Develop the internal AECOM CEI team in the region.
  3. Identify strategic partners, develop teaming partnerships and markets.
  4. Strategize and preposition for upcoming RFPs.
  5. Lead proposal writing efforts and interview presentations.
  6. Write proposals and participate in interviews for RFPs.
  7. Support marketing and proposal development throughout Texas CEI teams.
  8. Conduct regular visits & maintain contact with TxDOT DOCs and AEs to determine future work and AO needs.
  9. Identify potential selection committee members prior to TxDOT RFPs.
  10. Identify new opportunities and needs.
  11. Attend AGC and other conferences as required.
Operations (assist with the following) :
  1. Develop and maintain a trained staff to perform CEI projects and secure future work.
  2. Maintain staff billability at 90%+ and meet Project KPIs (with assistance from AECOM Project Controllers).
  3. Ensure timely billing to clients (participate in biweekly status meetings).
  4. Develop Work Authorizations.
  5. Assist with billing rate negotiations and ODEs.
  6. Conduct Project Reviews including Safety.
  7. Perform client briefings on AECOM performance twice per year.
  8. Perform CEI PM duties for CEI Contracts.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
  • BA / BS + 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience/education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Driver's license required.
  • PE license required in TX or ability to obtain within six months.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
  • 20 years of transportation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and video conferencing tools.
  • Knowledge of TxDOT Site Manager.
  • Precertification in TxDOT areas such as Roadway Construction Management, Bridge Construction Management, etc., or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  • Previous experience as TxDOT Area Engineer, Assistant AE, Director of Construction, or similar roles.

  • Travel required (>25%).
  • Drivers license required for the position.

Offered compensation ranges from $126,505 to $234,034, based on location and qualifications.
