Job summary

A high-speed aircraft manufacturer in California seeks a pilot with FAA transport rating or military equivalent. Responsibilities include planning taxi and flight operations, overseeing the transition to an autonomous aircraft system, and maintaining expertise on the Quarterhorse aircraft. Responsibilities

• Plan and execute taxi and flight operations for the Quarterhorse series.
• Oversee transition to a fully autonomous system.
• Maintain expertise on Quarterhorse demonstrator aircraft series.
• Develop ground and flight test procedures.
• Work with engineering staff on flight manuals.

Skills

Instructor pilot experience

Knowledge of military or FAA Airworthiness requirements

Strong background in aircraft performance calculations

Experience writing test plans and test procedures

Flight experience in group 4/5 UAV

Communication skills

Leadership and teaching ability

Education

Federal Aviation Administration transport pilot rating or military equivalent

Military or civilian flight test experience, or test pilot school graduate
