Job summary

Rocket Lab at the NASA Stennis Space Center in Mississippi is seeking a Lead Test Operations Technician – C and D shift to lead a team, build and maintain test assets, and drive day‑to‑day progress for the Neutron program.

You will set daily assignments, coordinate with test ops, GSE and the electrical team, monitor output against objectives, and push improvement projects. This role requires hands‑on leadership, safety compliance, and a background in high‑tech test facilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as an operating technician in test facilities or similar environments.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• A&P License.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of safety processes and hazardous materials handling.
• Experience applying 5S and lean processes to daily tasks.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of test operations technicians to ensure clarity and accountability at the Stennis test site.
• Coordinate daily and weekly site activities with test ops, GSE, and the electrical team.
• Track output against delivery objectives and manage capacity and schedule.
• Drive improvement projects and feedback on work instructions to reduce touch-time and improve quality or safety.
• Drive basic preventive maintenance across the facility.
• Ensure team training and conformance to health and safety policies, including proper PPE use.
