Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or equivalent to synthesize customer needs into system test solutions. You will develop and direct test plans, procedures, and schedules for complex systems, coordinating integrated testing activities and evaluating test requirements for completeness.

The role requires US citizenship, Final Clearance to start, and at least 6 years of relevant professional experience, with no relocation support and no telework

Qualifications

Must have Lead Test Engineer (LTE) or Ship Safety Officer (SSO) or Watch Supervisor/Watch Officer Certification and 6 years of relevant professional/exempt experience.

Responsibilities

Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions; develops and directs comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
Coordinates integrated testing activities and reviews test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
