Job summary

Stellar Solutions in El Segundo seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead test activities for resilient Missile Warning capabilities for the U.S. Space Force.

You will guide developmental test, system integration, and verification across space, ground, software, and hardware systems. The role requires 10+ years in test/evaluation on defense programs, 5+ years leading a test organization, and deep knowledge of DoD testing standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a technology field.
• 10+ years of test and evaluation, verification, or system integration on Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
• 5+ years leading developmental test organizations.
• Experience planning, executing, and reporting developmental test activities for certification readiness.
• Experience developing test procedures and artifacts per AFMAN 63-119.
• Experience executing tests and producing comprehensive test reports.
• Experience creating Test & Evaluation Master Plans, System Test Plans, and Verification Reports.
• Experience conducting system-of-systems testing for space-to-ground or cross-segment integration.
• Ability to decompose requirements, allocate to testable elements, and define systems under test.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-3022 and related DoD frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary test team in planning, coordinating, and executing developmental test activities.
• Develop and execute Test & Evaluation Master Plans, System Test Plans, and Verification Reports.
• Plan and conduct system-of-systems testing for space-to-ground and cross-segment integration.
• Coordinate across government, industry, and test organizations for rigorous test strategies.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation actions for rapid capability delivery.
• Apply IEEE/DoD standards to test planning and execution.
• Organize and facilitate test reviews and technical interchanges.
