Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Test Engineer IV (Lead Test Engineer) to join our Advanced Compute team in Northern Kentucky. You will design, develop, and maintain test procedures for advanced compute platforms and perform root cause analysis to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

You will lead a team of test engineers, troubleshoot servers and networking systems, and automate testing with Bash and Python while leveraging Excel and Power BI for data-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in hardware testing, failure analysis, or test engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting server computers, networking systems, and compute hardware platforms.
• Experience with Linux environments, Bash scripting, Python scripting, and test automation.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts and quality metrics.
• Experience presenting technical data and leading technical discussions in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test procedures, tester hardware, and software for advanced compute and server platforms.
• Perform detailed failure analysis and root cause investigations on hardware and software-related issues.
• Troubleshoot complex server, networking, and storage systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate testing and data collection processes.
• Analyze system and manufacturing data using Excel and Power BI to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead and mentor test engineers, technicians, and support staff while promoting technical excellence.
