Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an senior software engineer to lead platform re-architecture and the evolution of a scalable, multi-tenant service. The role emphasizes backend and platform engineering with a focus on Python/TypeScript and event-driven architectures.

You will drive end-to-end quality integration, engage in architecture and platform integrations, and build telemetry and governance around AI-enabled workflows. Collaboration across QE, DevOps, and AI teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant recent experience in backend and platform engineering.
• Proven track record re-platforming an IDE-centric, desktop, or developer-facing tool into a scalable shared service.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems and internal developer platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript; deep expertise in API design, event-driven systems, workflow orchestration, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Platform Re-Architecture & Service Evolution: Lead the re-platforming of the existing IDE-bound QE harness into a scalable, multi-tenant ORBIT service.
• End-to-End Quality Engineering Integration: Integrate the harness into the E2E quality engineering spine, including requirements, spec records, test generation, and promotion workflows.
• Architecture & Platform Integrations: Integrate with TDM two-lane architecture, Repo Knowledge Plane, and internal engineering platform services and APIs.
• Quality Signals & Promotion Intelligence: Design telemetry and observability frameworks for execution analytics and implement reliability metrics and promotion gating mechanisms.
• AI and Agentic Framework Integration: Build deterministic workflows around agentic and LLM-powered capabilities; balance autonomous behavior with governance.
