Job summary

Vail Resorts in Avon, Colorado is seeking a Team Lead Terrain Park Crew for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. You will supervise, train, schedule, and motivate the team, performing daily risk assessments of features and overseeing design and maintenance of terrain park elements to ensure guest safety and a top-notch experience.

This role requires five years of terrain park experience and at least two years in a supervisory role, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Must have 2 years of education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of terrain park experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervise Terrain Park Attendants and Operators.
  • Organize weekly safety meetings and document equipment trainings.
  • Lead daily Terrain Park Operations and design/construction plans.
  • Perform daily risk assessments and feature inspections.
  • Direct and plan projects with Park staff and other departments.
  • Assist in design/construction planning for parks, pipes, and events.
  • Support Ski Patrol on incident investigations.
  • Hire, fire, and schedule terrain park staff.
  • Act as liaison with management and other teams.

Job Summary

TheTeam LeadTerrain Park Crew will deliver the Terrain Park experience for our employees and guests.This individualis responsible forthe team's supervision, training, scheduling, and motivation.Theteam leadterrain park crew will perform a daily risk management assessment of the venue including the design/construction and layout of features and placement and integrity of all animation and signage.

Job Responsibilities
  • Training/coaching/supervising/leading of Terrain Park Attendants and Operators
  • Organize and conduct weekly safety meetings as well as document case specific Equipment and PPE Trainings
  • Lead all Terrain Park Attendants and Groomers efficiently through the daily Terrain Park Operations and nightly design and construction plan
  • Performs a daily assessment of risk, feature inspections, maintenance, and testing of all features
  • Directs leads, attendants, and operators to complete projects and general maintenance in an efficient and carefully planned manner
  • Assist Terrain Park Manager and Grooming team in Design and Construction planning for all parks, pipes, andspecial events
  • Assist Ski Patrol on accident investigations
  • Hiring,firingandschedulingof terrain park attendants
  • Act as liaison between Attendants and upper management and other departments
  • Assistin the development of nightly grooming plans for Terrain Parks
  • Responsible for park operations/decision making when manager is unavailable
  • Act as role modelregardingemployee development and guestservice-relatedinitiatives
  • Assistin all trainings for Terrain Park Attendants including the implementation of all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ongoing development of standard operating procedures and Best Practices
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Must have 2 years of education
  • Minimum of 5 years of terrain park experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to work outside in alpineenvironment
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must have own ski or ride equipment

The expected pay range is$23.00/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
