Job summary

Merchants Bank in Rochester, MN seeks a Lead Teller / Universal Banker to supervise Teller staff, handle complex transactions, open new deposit accounts, and promote bank products. This full-time role covers branch hours Mon-Fri with a Saturday rotation.

The position reports to the Universal Banking Manager and will back-up at additional nearby branches. Strong communication, sales experience, and leadership are essential to deliver exceptional service and build lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Teller and leadership experience desired.
• Strong communication skills and comfort with extensive customer contact.
• Sales experience and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Teller staff and ensure quality customer service.
• Handle various banking transactions, account inquiries, and open new deposit accounts.
• Proactively offer a range of banking products and services to meet customer needs.
• Provide on-site leadership for Teller functions and maintain standards daily.
• Assist with branch compliance, audits, and security measures.
