Job summary

Fort Point LLC is seeking a seasoned Telecommunications Professional to lead the definition of telecom and IT scope for oil and gas, refining and petrochemical projects from concept through detail design. The role requires directing cyber security, vendor management, and system integration across CCTV, access control, PA/GA, networks, telephony and wireless systems.

You'll present strategies to customers, develop program plans through stage gates, and guide a multi-disciplinary team to deliver

Qualifications

• 15 years related work experience.
• Total minimum 10 years of experience in industry.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, PA/GA, wired/wireless networks, telephony, digital radio, marine and microwave systems.
• Knowledge of cyber security implementation methods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present and coordinate with customers.
• Experience leading suppliers and managing multi-vendor projects.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEC, ISA and IEEE standards.
• Knowledge of virtualization, servers, network devices and storage concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition of the telecommunications and IT scope for oil and gas projects from concept to detail design.
• Present to and coordinate with customers on telecommunication strategy.
• Develop program strategy through all stages of the stage gate process.
• Direct activities requiring knowledge of telecommunications, IT, and cyber security.
• Direct the efforts of equipment suppliers and design/build contractors.
• Develop specifications and requirements for telecom/IT/cyber security projects.
• Prepare designs and calculations to meet project requirements.
• Conduct field investigations and produce detailed field reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure a high-quality product.
• Keep up to date on new engineering processes and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to the design team.
• Engineer multi-vendor solutions and integrations across platforms.
