Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Electrician III to support growing telecom construction projects in Houston, TX. You will lead on-site activities, read blueprints, estimate needs, and manage materials and labor within budget while upholding safety standards.

This role requires a licensed Journeyman with 5+ years of field experience and strong MS Office skills. You’ll collaborate across teams to deploy new products and services, aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed State 01 Journeyman with telecom construction experience.
• 5+ years of industry trade experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.
• Experience with project management scheduling software.
• Ability to read blueprints and do estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide project completion.
• Read blueprints and do estimates.
• Manage material, labor, and electrical projects within budgets.
• Ensure safety and quality programs are followed.
• Coordinate site acquisition, engineering, and construction.
• Control costs from budgeting to close-out.
• Prepare scope of work with pricing and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Identify future opportunities to deploy products/services.
• Risk management and contingency planning.
