Job summary

Catapult Federal Services seeks a Senior Telecom Design Consultant in Sherman, TX to lead telecom infrastructure design for data centres and critical facilities. The role emphasizes Revit modeling, coordination with architects and engineers, and guiding junior staff to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, review technical specifications, and drive project success through technical leadership and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years of proven experience in telecommunications or low voltage systems design and consulting.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit software.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and industry standards.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Independent yet collaborative with proactive problem-solving.
• Experience with construction document preparation and specification development.
• Knowledge of codes, standards and best practices in telecommunications design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and documentation of low voltage telecom systems for commercial and mission-critical facilities.
• Create telecom system models and coordination drawings using Revit.
• Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• Develop and review construction drawings, specs, and project scope documents.
• Coordinate telecom designs with other building disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Participate in client meetings, coordination sessions, and site visits.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies.
• Support business development and client relationship activities.
• Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and client expectations.
