Lead Technician – Technical Flush Department

South Bay Sandblasting & Tank Cleaning, Inc., located in Norfolk, Virginia, is a shipyard‑related subcontractor seeking a Lead Technician for the Technical Flush Department. The position is based in Norfolk; relocation is not offered.

Job Summary

A Lead Technician is capable of delegating work and assignments to team members, collaborating hands‑on, and coordinating project direction with the Production Manager while demonstrating best practices to the crew.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand PCPs.
• Understand and document work processes.
• Set up, operate, monitor, break down, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.
• Oversee technicians and evaluate areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement flushing plans, procedures, and schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers and production teams.
• Verify all processes are followed.
• Conduct training to technicians as needed.
• Participate in the service repair and maintenance program.
• Always use proper PPE.
