Job Summary:

Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the department and employees by performing the following duties:

Major Responsibilities:
  1. Plans and delegates work tasks. Assigns work among qualified team members. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper task completion; provides feedback for recognition and improvement.
  2. Reinforces safety guidelines and reports non-compliance. Monitors employee productivity, work habits, and the care, condition, and storage of tools and equipment. Maintains inventories and ensures compliance with policies.
  3. Ensures proper documentation using tools like the Lead Observation Report to support managerial records.
  4. Coordinates with other departments and communicates resource needs and work plans with supervision. Facilitates communication between team, supervisor, and HR.
  5. Performs duties as outlined in the non-lead job description. Shares knowledge and assists in employee development.
  6. Assists with training new and current employees, assigning trainers as needed.
  7. Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UO policies and procedures.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Electronic or electrical degree preferred.
  • Two-year college or technical school education is a plus.
Experience:
  • Six months to one year of experience in providing work direction preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience with audio and visual equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of audio and video theory and practical experience required.
  • Advanced skills in setup and maintenance of A/V systems are preferred.
  • Formal electronics training or at least 5 years’ experience in A/V system design, installation, or maintenance is preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required to operate company vehicles.
