What you’ll do
- Ensure the production schedule is met by monitoring line performance, identifying and resolving issues, and allocating resources accordingly.
- Complete all training and certification requirements to safely and effectively operate all production equipment and machinery in the assigned area.
- Cross-train on equipment and tasks across multiple areas and rotate as needed.
- Perform machine start-up and shut-down procedures, ensuring machines are set up to validated Machine Parameter Settings (MPS).
- Monitor operating equipment and machinery to ensure proper performance.
- Adjust equipment parameters within validated standards to meet output specifications.
- Escalate issues to proper site resources if output specifications are not met.
- Coordinate and provide training for others on operating production equipment and machinery.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting, such as cleaning, inspection, minor lubrication, and parts replacements.
- Escalate non-routine and complex issues following downtime escalation procedures.
- Support mechanics in diagnostics and repairs.
- Provide directions for cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
- Ensure size and product changeovers are completed according to the production schedule.
- Use Gantt charts and other tools to plan activities, assign timelines, and meet deadlines.
- Log data into the production tracking system, including machine parameters, downtime, and line performance.
- Audit line reports, quality documents, and records to validate data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
- Complete quality checks promptly and inspect output for compliance, using calibrated tools and equipment as needed.
- Maintain all required quality documentation accurately.
- Identify and escalate issues with non-conforming finished goods or packaging components.
- Mentor operators and staff on troubleshooting tasks.
- Follow escalation procedures for non-routine and complex issues.
