The (USA) Lead Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services - US, oversees and supports associates by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards. This role manages landscape maintenance, seasonal exterior activities, and equipment operation while providing technical guidance and facilitating training. The position involves coordinating resources, maintaining quality, and implementing improvements to optimize facility operations. The Lead Technician also ensures proper vehicle maintenance and safety, promotes ethical practices, and collaborates with teams to meet business objectives and deliver consistent, high-quality service.

What you'll do:

• Supervise and support associates by assigning duties, providing feedback, and monitoring performance to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Train and coach associates on company policies, procedures, and compliance with external regulations such as OSHA and DOT.
• Manage landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, pest control, and seasonal exterior tasks like snow and ice removal.
• Operate and maintain heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety checks and proper documentation.
• Coordinate equipment purchases, budget preparation, and maintenance to optimize facility operations and reduce costs.
• Lead teams to meet business priorities, promote ethical standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll bring:

• Proven leadership experience in supervising, coaching, and developing associates to achieve performance goals.
• Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscaping techniques, and exterior facility maintenance practices.
• Ability to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and DOT.
• Skilled in operating, inspecting, and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment safely.
• Experience managing budgets, sourcing materials, and coordinating equipment purchases.
• Proficient in leveraging technology to complete work orders and maintain accurate records.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $45.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and ability to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and able to pass a motor vehicle report.
• No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the 3 years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last 3 years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in horticulture or related area., Certified nursery and/or landscape professional., Experience as landscaping/gardening crew leader or supervisor., Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).
