Job summary

Walmart York, SC is seeking a Lead Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services to supervise landscape and exterior maintenance at WM Supercenter #1144. This is a full-time role based in York, SC, with hourly compensation ranging from $23.00 to $45.00 per hour.

The position oversees associates, ensures safety standards, and coordinates with multiple teams to deliver high-quality exterior upkeep and seasonal maintenance.

Qualifications

• DOT physical and medical certification (MEC)
• Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass MVR
• No DUI/DWI/OUI or reckless driving in last 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years for commercial vehicle
• No serious traffic violations in 3 years for CMV operation
• No preventable accidents in last 3 years for CMV operation
• Ability to read and speak English per FMCSA 391.11(b)(2)
• 2 years’ experience in landscaping/gardening industry

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback and follow‑up, and monitoring performance.
• Teaches and supports company policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
• Participates in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, job shadowing, technician certification, and evaluation of associates.
• Maintains quality and safety standards; ensures equipment and supplies are ready at shift start.
• Trains associates on logistics and company policies; monitors compliance.
• Coordinates with OSHA, NFPA, DOT; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots heavy machinery; conducts safety checks.
• Develops budgets, approves purchases, and provides technical consultation for purchases.
• Maintains vehicles and ensures appropriate insurance and documentation.
• Leads teams, shares resources, and drives process improvements.
