Job summary

Danfoss in Utica, NY is seeking a hands-on practitioner to drive continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will help organize spaces, improve information sharing, and ensure adherence to standard processes through visual controls and layout changes.

Collaborating with operators, supervisors, and engineers, you’ll foster an inclusive culture where ideas are welcomed and sustained. Attention to detail and commitment to improvement are key.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, or continuous improvement support.
• Working knowledge of lean tools such as 5S, visual management, and basic problem-solving methods
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow and improve standard work and visual instructions
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams
• Ownership mindset and alignment with Danfoss behaviors, including curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Support 5S and visual management activities to create organized, safe, and efficient work areas
• Collect and organize data on performance and processes to enable informed improvement decisions
• Assist with shop-floor changes such as layout updates, workstation improvements and material flow enhancements
• Create and update visual tools, labels, and standard work to improve clarity and consistency
• Maintain sustainment audits and follow-up actions to ensue improvements are embedded and lasting
