Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day activity and coordination of technician teams to complete assembly operations according to the overall schedule.

  • Participate in major on‑site operations such as important component lifts and movements.
  • Conduct visual inspection buy‑off for tasks completed by technician teams.
  • Provide daily updates to the Assembly team on the status of each operation or work order and what was completed that day.
  • Coordinate with out‑of‑house work teams on specialized sections of SPARC assembly to ensure timely completion of their work.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any assembly issues as they arise, develop workarounds, and elevate problems as necessary.
  • Notify Assembly Engineers of problems or the need for non‑conformance reports and coordinate with the Assembly Testing Team on ongoing activities.
  • Lead daily kick‑off meetings and shift‑change meetings to outline tasks, major events (such as big lifts), safety hazards, and relevant details.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in a highly technical assembly role (e.g., aerospace, semiconductor, oil & gas, power plants, wind, automotive).
  • 2 to 3 years overseeing a team of five people or more.
  • Experience completing large‑scale projects end to end.
  • Experience assisting lifting operations.
  • Knowledge of standard joining and integration methods (bolted interfaces, flanges, welding, epoxies).
  • Highly self‑motivated, organized, and safety conscious.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of vacuum systems and clean‑room best practices.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic systems.
  • Experience with metrology tools and precision alignment of components.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for required nights, weekends, or on‑call duty.
Work Conditions
  • Hours: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in stooping, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods.
  • May need to operate in small confined spaces or at heights up to 25 feet.
  • Exposure to industrial hazards such as heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics.
