Job summary

Audio Warehouse in Charleston, SC seeks an experienced Lead Technician to spearhead installations on high-end residential projects, overseeing prewire to final programming. This field-based role requires travel to client job sites and on-site leadership.

You will install and troubleshoot audio/video, networking, lighting, and security systems, read blueprints, and maintain company van and tools. We offer hourly pay of $25.00–$32.00, 401(k), health insurance, paid training, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on low-voltage integrated systems experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Experience with one of the following disciplines: Lutron/Savant/Control4/Crestron, networking/IT, AV signal flow, or security systems.

• Lead installations from prewire through trim to final commissioning and programming on high-end residential projects.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio/video, networking/data, lighting, and security systems.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Technician to spearhead installations on the region’s most ambitious residential projects, overseeing everything from prewire to final programming.

What You'll Do

• Lead installations from prewire through trim to final commissioning and programming on high-end residential projects — you're the one other techs and clients look to on-site
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio/video, networking/data, lighting, and security systems and components
• Program and configure automation platforms (Savant, Control4, Crestron, Lutron, or similar)
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, floor plans, and product manuals
• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, panels, and junction boxes
• Diagnose root-cause issues on both simple and complex systems — not just swap parts
• Travel to job sites across the Charleston area
• Interact directly with clients, builders, designers, and architects, representing Audio Warehouse's standard of craftsmanship
• Maintain your company van, tools, and equipment

What We're Looking ForRequired — experience with a minimum of one of the following disciplines:

• Lutron, Savant, Control4, Crestron, or similar systems
• Networking and IT experience
• Knowledge of audio/video signal flow
• Experience with security systems

Also required:

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on low-voltage integrated systems experience (or equivalent hands-on study)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check

Preferred:

• Industry credentials (CEDIA, AVIXA, manufacturer certifications)
• Prior experience leading a crew or job site
