Job summary

MSD is looking for an Associate Director, Technical Writing to lead the technical writing team and deliver high-quality, customer-facing scientific content. You will mentor writers and translate complex data for diverse audiences.

You will partner with marketing to produce brochures, blogs and website content, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements. Hybrid or remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in life sciences or diagnostics.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee creation of manuals, specifications, white papers, and case studies.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop brochures, blogs, and website content.
• Establish quality standards and ensure regulatory compliance across materials.
• Work with R&D, product management, scientific support, and sales to translate data into user-friendly content.
• Develop and implement best practices for writing processes and training.
