Job summary

Tatitlek Federal Services, Inc (TFSI) is seeking a Technical Writer III to lead the production and editing of weapons systems-related documents at Redstone Arsenal, reporting to the directorate chief engineer and coordinating with engineers across disciplines.

You will review plans and reports for accuracy and compliance, mentor a team of writers/editors, and ensure all materials meet DoD and RTC standards. A DoD security clearance is required or achievable.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in English, Communications, or related disciplines from an accredited college/university.
• Five (5) years' experience in technical writing for a research and development organization.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
• DoD Secret or higher security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage directorate weapons systems-related T&E technical documents production through subordinate technical writers/editors.
• Advise the directorate's Chief Engineer on technical documents for Director and RTC Technical Director.
• Review documents for compliance with DoD, Army, ATEC, and RTC standards; lead quality reviews.
