Lead Technical Recruiter Power & Utilities - Technical Staffing

ESPO Engineering, established in 1965, provides Engineering and Technical staffing solutions to companies in the Chicago-land area. We specialize in recruiting and placing Engineers, Designers, Drafters, Technicians, Manufacturing, IT, Construction, Utilities & Consulting personnel at every level and discipline.

Location: Willowbrook, IL or Remote

Experience: 3–5 years

We are seeking a driven and experienced Lead Technical Recruiter to join our Utilities group. The ideal candidate has a background in technical staffing and a passion for building strong talent pipelines in the Utilities, Engineering, Construction, Power, Telecommunications, or Oil & Gas industries.

Responsibilities
  • Lead recruiting efforts for our Utilities division.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, screening, qualifying, and interviewing candidates for technical positions.
  • Interface directly with clients and hiring managers to understand their needs.
  • Train and mentor junior recruiters focused on the utilities sector.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical staffing, ideally in utilities or related sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with desktop applications (MS Office Suite, etc.).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with various Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn and other sourcing platforms.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
  • Bachelor\'s degree recommended.
