Job summary

EchoStar, a leader in connectivity spanning satellite TV, streaming, and smart home services, seeks a senior program manager to lead large-scale initiatives within the DISH Technology group. You will partner with cross-functional teams to align strategy with execution, define roadmaps, and drive risk management and resource optimization.

You will mentor project management talent, implement AI-powered tooling for status reporting and dashboards, and ensure delivery against key OKRs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years leading cross‑functional programs, preferably in Telecom or Pay TV services.
• PM/CPPM/CSSBB or CSP certifications preferred.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies; strong stakeholder management.

Managing highly complex, large-scale strategic initiatives across matrixed, cross-functional environments requires a seasoned leader capable of bridging execution and strategy. This role addresses these hurdles by developing comprehensive strategic roadmaps, identifying operational bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement across diverse business and operational teams. By establishing robust risk mitigation frameworks and optimizing resource allocation, the program's objectives remain aligned with overarching corporate strategy. Ultimately, this senior-level execution ensures seamless organizational transitions, high-quality deliverables, and the active mentorship of project management talent within the organization.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

• Lead complex, large-scale business and operational programs from initial vision to successful realization with high autonomy, ensuring alignment with key departmental OKRs
• Orchestrate matrixed cross-functional teams, establishing program schedules, milestones, and governance structures to guarantee operational excellence
• Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program risks and resource constraints through creative, data-driven problem-solving
• Drive innovation and process enhancement by integrating AI-powered project management tools to automate status reporting, risk prediction, and dashboard creation
• Facilitate smooth organizational change management and transitions resulting from major program rollouts across stakeholder groups
• Establish quality assurance standards and track performance against established KPIs to ensure program deliverables consistently meet high benchmarks

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field
• Minimum Experience: 8 to 10 years of experience in cross-functional project or program coordination (preferably in Telecom or Pay Television Services) with a proven history of program success
• Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 8 to 10 years of experience with:
  • Program and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Airtable, Hive)
  • PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification (Preferred)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
