Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Payroll Systems expert to own end-to-end Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll functionality, configure and optimize payroll processes, and partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations teams to deliver enhancements. You will lead testing efforts during quarterly releases and drive continuous improvements in payroll automation and efficiency.

Remote-friendly role with in-office requirements in Minneapolis area; 4 days per week in the office for local hires.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
• Demonstrated solid expertise in Payroll configuration (elements, fast formulas, balances, payroll flows).
• Experience troubleshooting complex Payroll-related issues and performing root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Core HR, Time & Labor and Absence modules.
• Experience supporting UAT and Oracle quarterly release testing.
• Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions.

Responsibilities

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end Oracle HCM Payroll functionality, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll
• Demonstrated solid expertise in Payroll configuration (elements, fast formulas, balances, payroll flows)
• Experience troubleshooting complex Payroll‑related issues and performing root cause analysis
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Core HR , Time & Labor and Absence modules
• Experience supporting UAT and Oracle quarterly release testing
• Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate requirements into system solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience owning Payroll as a product or platform (product manager mindset)
• Demonstrated solid understanding of end-to-end HCM integrations and upstream/downstream impacts
• Experience in high‑volume or complex payroll environments
• Demonstrated excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full‑time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
