Job summary

Nike Inc. is seeking a Lead Technical Designer for Global Accessories to translate bold design concepts into durable, production-ready carry solutions.

You will own complex bag styles end-to-end, from concept to commercialization, leveraging digital tools to ensure quality, cost targets, and calendar alignment. You will collaborate with Bags Design, Product Management, Materials, and factory partners, mentoring teammates and guiding multiple projects while staying ahead of new carry technologies

Qualifications

• 5+ years of bags product creation experience, including bag pattern engineering and sewn soft-goods construction.
• Advanced knowledge of bag development from concept through production, including patterns, sewing, edges, reinforcements, lining, and hardware.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO strongly preferred; familiarity with Optitex/Browzwear/VStitcher.

Responsibilities

• Own complex bag styles from concept through commercialization with technical precision.
• Create and maintain 2D/3D technical packages using CLO and Illustrator.
• Lead prototype reviews with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Define materials, BOMs, patterns, panel architecture, seams, and finishes.
• Evaluate fit, ergonomics, durability, and Product Integrity testing.
• Identify risks early and propose design-to-cost tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with factories, sourcing, and costing to improve quality and cost.
