Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. seeks a Lead Warehouse Technician to oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensure accurate order fulfillment, and maintain inventory accuracy while following safety and packaging guidelines.

You will operate equipment, verify orders from pick tickets, inspect shipments, and support a safety-first warehouse culture in a fast-paced environment. Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT physical exam and medical card required.
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack.
• Five years of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and audit inventory and packaging materials as needed.
• Resolve shortages and manage restocking needs.
• Prepare and verify orders from pick tickets for shipment.
• Check inventory availability and package/ship per guidelines.
• Stock shelves and organize materials in the warehouse.
• Organize pick tickets and verify against packing slips and work orders.
• Receive, unload, inspect shipments, and verify with packing slips and PO.
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and forklift for loading/unloading.
• Occasional overtime, travel, and after-hours duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct inspections and prepare periodic audits as needed
• Resolve shortages and manage packaging material restocking needs
• Prepare and verify orders for shipment according to pick tickets and customer requirements
• Check and verify inventory to ensure availability of needed stockPackage and ship products according to packaging guidelines and practices
• Stock shelves in the warehouse and put away new materials
• Organize pick tickets and cross-check them with packing slips and work orders
• Receive, unload, and inspect shipments; confirm accuracy with packing slips and purchase orders
• Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift for loading and unloading materials
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jack
• Five years of experience in warehouse or material handling
• Knowledge of computer and inventory control systems

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations, operate vehicle, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, climb stairs, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: work in confined spaces or remote locations with arms above shoulder level, lift greater than 55 pounds, squeeze, fine hand motion, and use portable ladder
