Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Technical Product Owner – Toxicology Systems to own technical delivery across toxicology platforms. The role spans Spring House, La Jolla, CA, or Beerse, Belgium, requiring collaboration with science teams and cross‑functional partners.

You will translate scientific needs into scalable tech solutions, define roadmaps, and drive delivery in a regulated life-sciences environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of experience supporting scientific research platforms.
• Designing and sustaining data platforms, analytics products, or ML solutions in life sciences.
• Proven track record leading technical programs end-to-end in a complex org.
• Scientific literacy in toxicology concepts and ADME/off-target profiling.
• Depth in Python or R, SQL, REST APIs, containers, CI/CD, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology strategy, roadmaps, prioritization for toxicology digital products.
• Translate scientific needs into technical requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, prototyping, reviews, pipelines.
• Ensure data ingestion, normalization, QC; integrate with LIMS/ELN and instruments.
• Define data provenance, metadata standards, FAIR principles, auditability.
• Act as technical liaison to scientists; gather feedback and drive adoption.
• Evaluate vendors, manage third‑party integrations; coordinate with functions.
• Communicate status, value, and risks to leadership; enable decisions.
