Responsibilities

LEAD TEAM MEMBER GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Lead Team Member helps maintain a clean, well-organized store and helps create a customer-first store culture through exceptional store standards. The duties include assisting customers, operating registers, stocking, cleaning, and other tasks assigned by the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Lead Team Members perform the duties of a Team Member and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader.

DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations.
• Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Assist in merchandising to attract customers and retain excitement.
• Rotate products to create eye-catching displays.
• Complete cleaning responsibilities daily and weekly.
• Maintain store condense and reset standards daily.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and assist customers.
• Assist with self-checkout processes.
• Perform store cleaning, trash removal, and setup of displays.
• Open and close the store as directed in the absence of the Store Team Leader.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety policies.
• Ability to follow planograms and presentation guides.
• Mathematical skills for calculations.
• Cash register operation skills.
• Knowledge of cash handling and safety policies.

WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with six months of supervisory or related experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling.
• Handling merchandise and equipment.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally.
• Climbing ladders occasionally.
• Driving to deposit money and attend meetings.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
• Exposure to scents, weather, wet surfaces, cleaning solutions.
