Responsibilities

General Summary: The Lead Team Member helps maintain a clean, organized store and fosters a customer-first culture through exceptional store standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers, operating registers, stocking, cleaning, and performing other duties assigned by the Store Team Leader. Lead Team Members also act in a lead capacity when the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader is absent.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations.
  • Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
  • Assist in merchandising and creating appealing displays.
  • Complete cleaning responsibilities regularly.
  • Ensure store standards for condense and reset are maintained daily.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Operate cash register and assist with transactions and customer inquiries.
  • Assist customers with self-checkout processes.
  • Perform store cleaning, trash removal, and setup of displays.
  • Open and close the store as directed in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary in leadership absence.
Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of safety policies.
  • Ability to follow planograms and presentation guides.
  • Mathematical skills for transactions.
  • Cash register proficiency.
  • Knowledge of cash handling and safety policies.

Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of supervisory or related experience preferred.
Physical and Working Conditions
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and kneeling.
  • Handling merchandise and equipment regularly.
  • Lifting up to 40 pounds frequently, 55 pounds occasionally.
  • Climbing ladders occasionally.
  • Driving for deposits and training attendance.
  • Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
  • Exposure to scents, weather, wet floors, and cleaning solutions.
