Responsibilities

Lead Team Member General Summary:

The Lead Team Member helps maintain a clean, well-organized store and helps create a customer-first store culture through exceptional store standards. The duties include assisting customers, operating a cash register, stocking, cleaning, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Team Leader to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. Lead Team Members also perform the duties of a Team Member and act in a lead capacity in the absence of the Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

1. Provide superior customer service to exceed expectations.
2. Model product knowledge and selling techniques.
3. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
4. Assist in merchandising to attract customers and retain excitement.
5. Rotate products to create eye-catching displays to drive sales.
6. Complete cleaning responsibilities regularly.
7. Maintain store condense and reset standards daily.
8. Follow company policies and procedures.
9. Operate cash registers and assist customers with purchases and self-checkouts.
10. Clean the store, take out trash, dust, mop, and set up displays.
11. Open and close the store as directed in the absence of the Store Team Leader.
12. Perform additional duties as necessary in leadership absence.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies.
• Ability to follow planograms and presentation guides.
• Mathematical skills including calculations and percentages.
• Cash register operation skills.
• Knowledge of cash handling, safety, and facility policies.

Work Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with six months of supervisory or related experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Handling merchandise and equipment regularly.
• Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing and vehicle use for deposits and training.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise.
• Exposure to scents, weather, wet surfaces, and cleaning solutions.
