Job summary

Provincetown Art Association and Museum in Provincetown, MA seeks a Lead Teaching Artist for our Fall Little Artist Program. You will plan and facilitate age-appropriate educational material for young artists ages 5–8, collaborating with PAAM Education Staff to create engaging, process-based art experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated teaching experience.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and ability to collaborate with others.
• Ability to work with students of all ages and skill levels and create an accessible classroom environment.
• Pass required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate age-appropriate art activities for ages 5–8.
• Collaborate with PAAM Education Staff to develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment and assess student progress.
