Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

Summary

We are in search of a Lead Teacher for our One's/Two's classroom. We are a 5-star, high-quality program in Bennington, VT, with an emergent curriculum educational philosophy. Play, movement, and outdoor time are integral parts of our day. A love of children's music and literature is essential.

Duties

The lead teacher oversees a classroom of children, creates and implements lesson plans, writes a weekly newsletter, maintains classroom records (attendance, health checks, emergency forms), holds parent/teacher conferences twice a year, writes conference reports, collaborates with and supervises staff, and ensures a safe, nurturing environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree preferred, with state mandated reporter training, state orientation (within 1 month), CPR & First Aid (within 2 months), medication administration (within 6 months), and Basic Specialized Care training (within 1 year). At least 15 hours of professional development annually required.

Nice To Haves

Vermont State Teacher's License with an Early Childhood Education or Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.
