Qualifications

• Degree or relevant coursework in early childhood education is preferred.

The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Lead Teacher to guide and inspire our Older Infants classroom! Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for older infants
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports developmental milestones
• Monitor and document each child's growth, development, and daily progress
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's care and development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom space
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare health and safety standards

Requirements:

• EDU 119, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare or early learning center, especially with infants
• Knowledge of infant development, developmentally appropriate practices
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet North Carolina childcare licensing requirements for Lead Teacher qualification
• Warm, dependable, and team-oriented demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
