Job summary

Cox Health Child Care Center South in Springfield, MO seeks a Lead Teacher to foster safe, engaging learning environments for children. You will plan activities, supervise staff, greet families, and ensure daily tasks are completed promptly, including diapering, cleaning and supply stocking.

The role requires at least 9 college hours in early childhood or a CDA/MOA credential, with 1–2 years in a child care setting preferred. Part-time (20 hours/week) with benefits and supportive team.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, organization, prioritizing, decision-making and planning skills.
• Able to perform in highly stressful situations and during peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and coordinates academic and nonacademic activities for children.
• Greets parents and children at drop off/pick up.
• Maintains daily tasks such as diapering, laundry, cleaning and stocking for the next day.
