Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred.
• CDA preferred.
• 1–2 years of previous experience with school-age children preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians.
• Health and Safety: Supervise children during activities to uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document children’s learning to inform activities and share insights with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth.
