The Goddard School located at 301 Miller Drive North Aurora, IL 60542 is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to join our nurturing team. You will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum using the Wonder of Learning program and lead daily activities to support children's growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA credential preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Strong communication with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open communication with families about child progress.
• Supervise activities to uphold health, safety and licensing standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
• Observe and document children's learning to inform activities.
• Collaborate with Assistant and Resource Teachers as a team.
