Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher to support children's learning across our centers. You’ll lead, coach, and mentor teachers, implement our curriculum, and partner with families to provide high-quality care.

This role requires strong customer service, a CDA credential or NAEYC candidacy, and ability to lift 40 pounds; Illinois Smart Start premium applies. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and strong organizational skills.
• Active CDA credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state qualifications for the role or willing to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• English communication with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistently with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, community contacts and partners.
