JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Teacher-Lead EEC Certified
Job Family: Child Care
Mandatory EEC Certification to be uploaded with resume.

Position Summary:
Responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a class of pre-school children. May temporarily assume duties of the Director of Pre-School.

Essential Functions:
• Prepare teaching plans and programs following established guidelines.
• Adapt and implement daily lessons and activities.
• Model the Y’s healthy eating standards by consuming HEPA compliant foods and beverages during meal and snack times, avoiding food and beverage consumption during other program times.
• Model the Y’s active living standards by engaging in games and physical activities with youth.
• Tailor lessons to meet individual children’s needs, interests, abilities, and learning styles.
• Foster a respectful learning environment considering each child's background and experiences.
• Promote group learning and interaction.
• Observe, evaluate, and communicate children's progress and areas for improvement.
• Conduct parent conferences and communications.
• Maintain program records and documentation.
• Ensure site and equipment safety and communicate safety concerns.
