Job summary

KIPP Academy Boston Charter School is seeking a lead teacher to join our Boston campus. You will empower students by delivering rigorous instruction, building strong relationships with families, and upholding KIPP MA's mission of equity and excellence.

Responsibilities span classroom leadership, planning lessons, collaborating with coaches and peers, and participating in ongoing professional development to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep alignment with KIPP MA’s mission and values and belief in the potential of all students.
• Demonstrated ability to drive student growth and achievement while creating a warm, inclusive, rigorous learning environment.
• Passion for subject/content area and commitment to professional learning.
• Computer literacy and baseline familiarity with Google Suite.
• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Pass Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead or co-lead a classroom with responsibilities that may include independent teaching, co-teaching, or coverage.
• Affirm, value, and challenge every student each day.
• Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
• Prepare rigorous daily lessons using provided curricula and preparation tools.
• Set growth goals for students and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with families, coaches, and teammates to improve instruction.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and communicate progress to families.
• Engage in regional PD and ongoing professional development.
