Job summary

A Lead Teacher at Amazing Explorers Academy oversees classroom operations, implements our preschool curriculum, and fosters social, physical, and intellectual growth in young children.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a licensed or accredited child care center preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must communicate in English (verbal and written).
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Follows daily schedule and implements curriculum which includes communicating and interpreting both verbally and in writing in the English language.
• Maintains accurate child observation records and anecdotal notes for use during parent/teacher conferences at least twice a year.
• Conducts formal and informal assessments to ensure children are on track developmentally.
• Interacts with children and models appropriate behavior in classroom and playground.
• Communicates effectively with families in a polite and respectful manner.
• Opens and closes the assigned classroom, maintains safety and cleanliness.
• Cleans the classroom and sanitizes toys and surfaces; supports meals and snacks.
• Supports accreditation goals and required classroom duties.
