Job summary

Child Development Schools is seeking a Lead Teacher to create a nurturing classroom where curiosity and growth flourish. You will guide daily activities, document progress, and maintain a safe, compliant environment for children and families.

You will plan lessons, engage with parents in conferences, and support ongoing development through assessments and thoughtful patience. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and high-quality early education across CDS centers.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Ability to pass a background check
• Completion of 12 hours of childcare training within 30 days of hire
• Genuine care for children and commitment to safety and well‑being
• Strong communication with families
• Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments
