Job summary

The position is full-time (40 hours/week), hourly, non-exempt, and requires a high school diploma or GED plus appropriate child care credentials. Candidates should have prior child care experience and a heart for serving families.

Qualifications

• Must love and be willing to serve children and families.
• Must be a committed Christian living a life of obedience to Christ.
• Must be 19 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• One of the following credentials or higher: CDA, Montessori, Infant Family Associate, or higher degree.
• Previous child care experience preferred.
• CPR, Safe Sleep, and Bloodborne Pathogen training annually.
• State required training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for weekly classroom learning.
• Incorporate worship, Bible stories, and scripture into daily lessons.
• Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans for Director review.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.
• Manage classroom discipline with kindness and respect per licensing rules.
• Focus on clear, fair limits & conflict resolution.
• Engage with families daily via the electronic app.
• Supervise classroom activities in gym, playground, and field trips.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and outreach events.
