Job summary

The Goddard School located at 376 South Randolphville Road in Piscataway, NJ, is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to implement our developmentally appropriate Wonder of Learning curriculum. Lead daily activities, inspire young minds, and collaborate with a supportive team in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare/preschool preferred.
• Has completed state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom.
• Family Communication: Maintain open and positive communication with families about progress and daily activities.
• Health and Safety: Supervise activities to uphold health and safety standards and licensing requirements.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children's learning for sharing with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Behavior Guidance: Use positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth.
