Job summary

Credit Union 1's Little 1's Learning Center in Anchorage seeks a Lead Teacher to manage a developmentally appropriate early childhood classroom. You will plan curriculum, lead daily routines, mentor assistants, and ensure compliance with licensing and center procedures.

Ideal candidates have Alaska SEED/CDA or 6 ECE credits, CPR/First Aid, and strong English communication. This on-site role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Read, write, and speak English sufficiently to communicate and document.
• Meet Alaska Child Care Licensing requirements, including background checks.
• Obtain and maintain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, organized, engaging classroom environments.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with state standards and tools.
• Lead daily routines and transitions to promote engagement and positive behavior.
• Ensure compliance with Alaska licensing regulations and Center procedures.
• Complete accurate documentation including attendance, observations, portfolios, and family communication.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Assistant Teachers and staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional growth activities.
