Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Lead Teacher for Head Start in Alaska to plan and deliver an engaging early education program. You will guide teaching aides, work with families and the management team, and ensure a safe learning environment aligned with HSPPS standards.

You will develop weekly lesson plans, monitor classroom operations, and coordinate with community partners to support child development and family goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Child Development, Early Education or closely related.
• CDA or equivalent credential.
• Two years related experience in early childhood education.
• Must be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement an educational program meeting students' academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs.
• Supervise 2–4 teaching staff, volunteers, and parents in the classroom.
• Develop and submit weekly lesson plans aligned with the Early Learning Outcomes Framework.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS) and Alaska regulations.
• Collaborate with families, management, school district, and community agencies to support child services.
