Job summary

Child Development Schools, Inc. is seeking a Lead Teacher to foster a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, and growth.

You will guide children through hands-on activities and storytelling, creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where curiosity thrives. Responsibilities include planning age-appropriate lessons, maintaining safety and licensing compliance, documenting development, and regular family updates during conferences.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED required; ECE coursework or degree is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly with families and staff.
• Commitment to child safety and developmentally appropriate practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for the classroom.
• Keep the classroom safe, organized, and compliant with licensing and ratio requirements.
• Observe and document each child's development and share progress with families regularly.
• Build relationships with parents through daily communication and scheduled conferences.
• Complete required documentation including attendance, incident reports, and assessments.
